Days & Times:  消防学院一般在周一至周五上午7:00 -下午4:00上课，为期约20周. Some weekends are required.

Units:  26 semester units & .5 unit of Critical Skills Workshop

Fees:

Fire Academy Prerequisites:

1. Attend a mandatory 3-hour Fire Academy orientation. 强制性的三个小时的培训每学期举办两次，将涵盖你的身体要求, mentally, and academically. 还会包括消防学院的政策和程序，以及申请程序吗.

ACADEMY ORIENTATION DATES & TIMES - See Below:

2. Accumulative grade point average of 2.6 or higher from all community college/universities, including Butte College. 副学士或学士学位将不满足GPA要求.

Application Process: The selection process is first come first serve. The Fire Academy will accept the first 40 applications who have met the requirements. Students must turn in a complete application to be considered.

• Show evidence of a current CPR certification. Certification must be valid throughout the academy. • Complete a Personal History Statement

*The first day to submit an Application of Interest is Friday, March 1, 2024 at 8:00 am. 

*The first day to submit the first part of the application is Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 8:00 am. The first part of the application is consist of: 

• Pre-Academy Survey
• Butte College Student ID Number
• Mandatory 3-hour Orientation
• High school degree or unofficial transcript/GED/CHSPE
• GPA verification of 2.6 or higher
• Active EMT Card
• CPR certifcicate (Basic Life Support)
• Personal History Statement

*The first day to submit the second part of the application is Friday, May 3, 2024 at 12:00 pm. 申请的第二部分必须在学院开始日期前90天内完成. Completion date before May 3, 2024 will not be acceptable.

• Medical Clearance and Physical Examiniation forms

1. Registration for Fire Academy courses.

Housing: There is no housing on campus. A list of off-campus housing can be found at www.butte.och101.com.
